People say espresso is a hobby for a reason. Get a Nespresso if you don't want any of the work. Think again, if you don't want any of the work. Just know that beans age and your dialed in setting from a week ago might produce much worse espresso today. Pair either of those with the Eureka Mignon Specialita and you're under $2000 and have an excellent setup. However, you have to preprogram it and that is exactly the dialing in part. That means in the morning you just have to push your grinder to grind the beans into the portafilter, tamp, lock in the portafilter and push a button with your preprogrammed shot. With those two machines, you can preprogram your shots. The Dual Boiler can pull and steam simultaneously. The former is much cheaper, much smaller but can not simultaneously pull a shot and steam milk. My top pick overall is the Breville Barista Express Impress, which amazed me with consistent quality, precise built-in dosage and an impressive tamping system. If you're at least willing to dial in yourself, there are two espresso machines which come to mind: Breville Bambino (Plus) or Breville Dual Boiler. If you don't want that, don't expect very good espresso and buy a superautomatic or Nespresso machine. finding the correct settings on the machine and grinder for the beans you're working with, you'll have to work yourself. Your second point will be the biggest issue. Would appreciate any thoughts folks have on what machines I should look into! I was looking into the different Breville machines but have heard bad things about their quality long-term and customer service. But I have no idea if I should get a semi-auto or a super-auto.

In terms of machine size, we are getting a separate coffee buffet/sideboard so it will be in its own station and not taking up precious counter space.I don't mind steaming/frothing the milk myself at all, though it would be nice to be able to it at the same time as the machine is pulling the shot.I don't care if the machine does the grinding/measuring for me - all I know is that after I stick the portafilter in, I just want to be able to push a button and have the right amount of espresso come out. I don't mind grinding my beans or measuring/tamping, but I would really like a machine that pulls the shot for me automatically and I don't have to sit and figure out when to stop it. likes either straight espresso or drinks with a little milk.
Coffee manual espresso machine and a Baratza Encore grinder. I have been getting by with a very, very cheap Mr. I've been trying to research machines on this subreddit and others but I just feel overwhelmed. I have been making at-home espresso for the last two-ish years and I am ready to upgrade.
